Are Aliens Walking Among Us?

Evergreen is a city filled with mysteries. There are so many people, stories, and unexplainable photos or videos floating around. We’ve all seen the Birdy post about ghost hunting, with an eerie figure of a floating semi-transparent ghost. But how much of this is true, and how much is simply attention-seeking and/or special effects?
Recently the topic of conversation has shifted to aliens. Surely, we aren’t the only intelligent life forms in the universe, right? Well, dear reader, what if I told you there were sightings of aliens in the city? Well, on the 16th of August, just that happened.
One of our dedicated readers, Eryk, came to me with not only claims of seeing aliens, but with photographic proof. In his panic, he couldn’t get a clear photo initially, resulting in the following photo:

When I asked Eryk for his comment, he had the following to say:
“I saw aliens at Benny's today, and it shook me. I've never experienced anything like it, they spoke in a garbled language and even managed to emulate human-like actions by copying what the mechanics were doing. It was truly a sight to behold, and I hope they visit us again soon so we can learn more about their species.”
“I would say they were really nice. There was a bit of a language barrier, but they were able to make themselves understood. They got a repair then hung around a bit. I took photos of a couple of notes that got left behind while they were hanging out and talking to people in the shop,” says Cassi, the mechanic who was on duty at Benny’s.
Here are photos of the notes in question:

Our brave mechanic also posed for a photo with the aliens before they left:

Now, I’m not one to leave you with questions, with a lack of evidence, or with half a story. No, I went to several locations to investigate these claims of aliens in our city. What I found is that this isn’t a new occurrence, it’s been ongoing for much longer than we’ve known.
The first location I visited, was at the very top of Mount Chilliad. In the building up there, on the wall, is a hand painted diagram. It shows aliens near the bottom of the graph, a part of the very foundation of everything in our city. At the time of writing, I’ve been unable to find the owner of this building to find out more information regarding the diagram.

Next, I went to the Mount Chilliad Camp. The people there are standoffish, being extremely wary of outsiders. I had to be extremely careful as they did not seem like the most peaceful of people. I spoke with a man whom I believe is one of the leaders of the camp. He refused to give me much information regarding what exactly their beliefs are. When I asked if he knew anything about the diagram at the top of the mountain, he grew more agitated. I showed him the photo my witness provided for me, after which the man sent me on my way. I stayed in the area and, soon after they believed I’d left, I saw a large group of the camp members walk out of the main gate and to a sort of shrine on the side of the ledge their camp is on. It appeared that they were praying. Out of respect and for my own safety should I be caught; I chose to leave them be for whatever ceremony or worship was in progress. I returned later to inspect their shrine, and it’s eerie, to say the least. Considering they went there after I showed them the photo of the aliens, I firmly believe that this is all related.

My investigation didn’t end there, although my final stop was much more peaceful. The final place I visited was the so-called “Hippy camp” outside of Sandy Shores. The people here were much more welcoming, although I did question their sobriety somewhat. I was shown their art, all of which has to do with one thing: aliens. There are several depictions of aliens in various sizes, all of them displaying the classic grey man alien. These were all both carved into the rock as well as painted, leaving the landscape colourful and eye-catching. I spoke to several of the people living here, all of them firmly believing that aliens are already among us. They claimed that aliens were able to look just like us with their advanced technology. When I showed them the photo of the aliens, they were laughing. They claimed that those were indeed aliens, but not the same aliens the camp as a whole was based around. According to them, the grey men aliens are far more advanced than those seen at Benny’s. The ones seen at Benny’s are tourists at best, whereas the grey men are integrated into our society and hold some influence over how we progress as a species. They continued by telling me that one day, the grey men will leave and will take all the believers with them. They said that as soon as that happens, our society will fall apart as we’re unknowingly so reliant on technology that isn’t even ours and that we don’t understand. When I asked how it would be determined who is and isn’t a believer, I couldn’t get a definitive answer. They weren’t sure themselves, which is why they turned their home into such a colourful depiction of these grey men. After this, they allowed me to take photos of their work, hoping that more people might join them and hope for salvation.

So, my dear readers, this is what I leave you with: mechanics encountering alleged aliens, drawings of aliens, a camp of potential alien worshippers at Chilliad and a hippy camp with fairly different views on the whole situation.
Now my question for you: what do you believe?
