Hey angelssss.
As promised, I have returned to share my thoughts and opinions on some of my favourite fashion from our very first Evergreen Music Award event!
Given the date, I’m sure you know I dedicated a considerable amount of time to navigating and selecting the individuals on the carpet who caught my attention and those who didn’t. One aspect that caught my attention for SURE, was the last-minute closet shipment, which added an extra slice of angel cake to my evening. Settle in with Rex's pancakes lovies.
Now regarding the shipments, it’s true. Assuming you do know what I’m talking about already.
If not, on the day of the event, random shipments throughout the day suddenly decided they wanted to catch a flight into our city, some of them cutting it even closer than me on time. By now, I‘m sure you‘ve all discovered the new additions, love or hate them, but a handful of our gorgeous nominees showed up fully dressed in the new shipment. This giant, unsafely timed box included so many new pieces, evidently new dresses, which I might’ve gone insane over. Floor-length gowns, wedding dresses, wedding veils, an enormous bow I swear I’ll overuse. I don’t think I could have predicted it any better, Angels.
Not to have an ego or whatever.

To continue with less of my previously acknowledged ego, this shipment made a big difference in how fashion at the show was expected to play out for me. I had viewed everything in our new shipment hours before the show, so it wasn’t a surprise to see them go by while actively having been there, but I went in expecting people to mesh or create out of existing closets around the city. It was refreshing to see everyone receiving the chance to show out in brand-new dresses, suits, etc.
You can see in this edition especially, that not a lot of our new shipments covered, I’d suppose, the unspoken theme of “green”. Yet we had a huge mixture of fashion, regardless. Still stunning, but I have to hand it to those like Hector Suarez for showing up in the full evergreen format.
I really loved his green suit. It was such a great shade.

Additionally, I’ve chosen to split our performance looks from the red carpet, which are highlighted in this edition. Since each performance included the performer’s unique vision in those specific moments, I believe it was much easier to split the editions, so everyone has enough love. I am still in such awe of them all, I would never want to take away from any efforts because everyone went all out and deserves recognition.
With that in mind, before we dive into the highlights, I want to extend huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees for their incredible efforts. A special thank you to the team at G-SPOT Productions and the photo credit, Jackson Dior, for his crucial work on this edition.
This event was so overwhelming – the credit goes solely to their eyes and the success of the production team‘s vision.
I hope everyone had an amazing time regardless of my opinions & chosen highlights in this edition of Dear Angels. I strictly want to focus on our fashion on the red (concrete) carpet, and specifically my favourites of the night. I will NYAT be discussing every outfit featured here since your time is valuable to me, some of them definitely speak for themselves enough, but on the occasional tin-can-metal-inspired (Felix) style choice that you might question.
So, I think that’s enough of my notes for now, but I’m sure you’ll find me sprinkled all over this edition of Dear Angels.
