The SWEET(est) Album Release

Ashelyn Spot started the show off with a bang, bringing the elements with her as a thunderstorm began. I’d rather be dead than ever stop listening to her perform, and she has been killing it with booking shows lately! Tony performed next, from his newest release.

Akagane then showed up in a helicopter! A source close to him said “He’s not trying to be dramatic, he’s just late!” He explained his lateness as having to come from Brazil, and then brought out 3 members of the hit boy band from Brazil, Ourcode! They performed 4 songs, despite the tragic loss of one of their members on the helicopter ride. They had a loyal fanbase in the crowd.

Akagane then took the stage, opening with a song with Maliq of Ourcode, their voices harmonizing together on the chorus beautifully. He then continued with R3d Dr3ss, then brought Kay'e out for a duet that was to die for. He followed up with a song called Lilac, originally meant to be called sweet and was the original inspiration for the album. Lilac is one of this reporter's favorite songs on the entire album.

Ashelyn Spot returned to the stage for what Akagane says is his current favorite on the album, and it's hard to disagree! Both Spot and Akagne brought the energy to the performance, making it a hit with the crowd. Akagne then performed a song he recorded with Ace2x, who couldn’t make it, but he did a great job performing both parts. He then brought his fiancé JD to the stage to perform Stay home, a beautiful ballad from a lovely couple. Lastly, he brought up Patty Fooze for the last song on his album.

Sweet is a well-rounded album coming out from Viper Records. When asked for a comment, Akagne said “Go listen, please.” He thanked all those who worked with him on his album, and then left in his helicopter with his fiancé.
